The Photography Club is here! After a year as a "trial" club and attendees of the club hovering around 120 members.....the Photography Club is official and into our fourth year!

The Club meets two to three times per month. Officer will meet atleast four times a month.Typically we will meet in W8, however listen to the announcements as there will be times we meet elsewhere. Meeting times will also be posted in the display case located at the intersection of N Hall and A Hall.

The elected officers are responsible for updating the display case with current pictures and for planning the upcoming months activities.

Our goal of the club is get our skills beyond the "dabbling with a point and shoot" camera and to understand the fun and creativity of photography. To help us move toward this goal we run monthly "theme" lessons on something in particular.

The yearbook is excited to have us help with some of the photography around the Mainland Campus. Be sure to take plenty of photos during sporting events, field trips, unit lunch, homecoming.....you get the idea! Anything that is associated with Mainland - snap a picture!

  • email your photo as a .jpg or .png to mainlandphotography@gmail.com
  • list your name with the submission and the location of where your photo was taken
  • submit up to 3 photos
  • entry deadline for photo submission is November 28, 2011
  • 3 rounds of voting for the winner: first Facebook likes, second Photography Club reviews top three winners from Facebook and final determinination of winner will be by the Photography Club Officers.
